What to Expect
while visiting Sonrise

When you enter the building, you will be met by one of our greeters. This team is here to welcome you, answer any questions you may have, and offer directions to any of our children’s or nursery classrooms. We have light refreshments and plenty of free coffee at our Coffee Bar in the foyer.
There are no assigned seats, so when you enter the auditorium, feel free to find a seat wherever is open.

Our worship services start promptly at 11am and typically last about an hour and ten minutes. We recommend arriving early so you won’t feel rushed.

Dress comfortably. One of the things you’ll notice about Sonrise is that we are a very diverse church. You’ll feel right at home no matter what you are wearing.  You will find people wearing shorts and t-shirts or people wearing their Sunday best.  We simply ask you come as you are and dress comfortably.

Worship Service

The worship service beings at 11am on Sunday Mornings.  The service will last about 70 minutes.  In a typical service, you will  experience music, teaching from our pastor, communion, and a time to give back to God through offering.

We would love the opportunity to meet you.  Our pastors always make themselves available after service down in front of the auditorium or in the lobby after services. If you have any questions during your visit, ask one of our greeters or visit one of our Welcome Center located in the lobby.

Sonrise Christian Kids

Infants – Preschool Priority #1 for our team is caring for your infants and toddlers in a safe and nurturing environment. We want you to be able to enjoy the worship service without worry. Safety is important to us so you’ll receive an identification tag that matches your child’s ID number. Only the parent with this tag, with corresponding number, can pick up your child from the class. That number also serves to notify you if your child needs your attention while you are in service by your number appearing on the front screen.   Learn more about our kids ministry.
Elementary   Our Elementary ages (1st through 5th grade) start out in the worship service with their parents.  We decided that when they get past the preschool years, it is important for children to be able to watch their parents and other adults in a worship service and participate in the singing, giving offering, and witnessing communion. Before the sermon, our Pastor will dismiss the children to class where they will be taught the word of God on their level.  Our children’s ministry vision emphasizes family discipleship.  We believe the primary responsibility to disciple a child has been given to parents and so we try to equip parents to discuss the bible further with their children throughout the week.  The Gospel Project curriculum is used in all the classes so that each age group is learning the same thing each week to encourage that family discipleship.  Learn more about elementary kids ministry
