Encountering His Cross

One of the things you’ll notice as you read the Gospel of John is that there was a considerable amount of confusion and division about the identity of Jesus and His mission. What the people failed to understand was that Jesus as King had a very different plan to be their conquering king. John reveals Jesus’ Mission as the King who came to save his people from their sins by dying on a cross and being raised from the dead.
