I married my high-school sweetheart in June of 2007. Since then we have been overwhelmingly blessed with three hyper-active boys, and two sweet baby girls. I have been involved in vocational ministry since 2004. Before taking on a lead pastor role, I served as a youth and worship minister for 10 years . I received a B.A. in Preaching in 2013, and a M.A. in New Testament in 2019 from Johnson University. I joined Sonrise as the teaching Pastor in January of 2014, and continually grow in thankfulness for my amazing church family. Apart from the love of Bible study, preaching, and quality time with my family, I enjoy recreational sports, drinking an abundance of coffee, and writing music.

I have been a worship leader since 2014, and it has been something that my life has been wrapped around since then. I believe worship is not just music that we sing to the Lord, but also a lifestyle, and most importantly, our heart-posture towards the Lord. I am originally from Raleigh, NC, but I’ve moved back and forth from Raleigh to Charleston throughout my life. My favorite author is David Platt & I hope to one day become a missionary and travel across the world sharing the Good News through teaching, and through song.  

Ever since I met the Lord, he has changed my life forever over and over again. I am originally from Southern Illinois, and moved to Charleston in 2020. After a few years of pursuing a goal of being a professional personal trainer, the Lord called me to full time vocational ministry. I am now studying Christian Studies at Charleston Southern University, with plans to one day go to seminary to be a pastor. I love sports, weightlifting, hiking and traveling with a passion (and you will probably always see me with an energy drink). I have a passion for teaching the next generation about the salvation that Jesus Christ brings! As I go through life I try to live out 1 Thessalonians 5:17, “Pray without ceasing” to continue to walk in step with the Lord everyday!

I have been serving in ministry alongside my husband long before we were even married.  We met in youth group at church as young teenagers, served together throughout high school (and beyond) in worship and youth ministry, got engaged in 2005 and married in 2007.  I  graduated from High Point University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Religion.  I have been singing in Church since I  was 5 years old and I still love to share this talent in leading worship at Sonrise.  William and I have 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls and feel so blessed to have the opportunity to raise them up in the Lord.   I am often making sure everything behind the scenes is running smoothly and I take care of the administrative side of ministry as well as oversee Children's Ministry.  In my free time (uhhh.. 5 children.. what's free time?), I love to go on dates with my husband, spend quality time with the kids, travel, and I enjoy interior decorating (hello Pinterest).  I lead small group bible studies from time to time and enjoy leading others to a deeper love and knowledge of scripture.

I have been an immersed Christian for almost 30 years, and prior to coming to Sonrise, was a Deacon and Treasurer for Buckeye Christian Church in Grove City Ohio for over 20 years. I was born in Ohio, and lived there for the first 58+ years of my life. I met my wife at work, and we have been married for 37 years (as of September 2016). We moved to Summerville in 2015 after visiting my wife’s parents here many times over the past 30 years. We became members of Sonrise in 2015. We have two grown daughters. One lives in Ohio, and other lives in North Charleston. We truly love spending time with family, especially our granddaughter who was born in July of 2015. I love spending time with my family (especially our granddaughter who was born in July of 2015), and enjoy watching college football.

I have been a born again Christian since 1979, baptized at Northwood Baptist Church . I am married to my beautiful wife Melesa and we have four beautiful children, and 10 wonderful grandchildren. I served as a minister in a local church in Nichol South Carolina for few years. I have been an active leader in various churches for over 30 years. I've been an elder here at Sonrise Christian Church for 10 years. I love serving the church and God’s people.

I became a follower of Christ the summer prior to my Senior year of high school while I was at a Young Life Camp. I was baptized in 1998 at Savannah Christian Church. I spent 6 years in the Marine Corps as an Avionics Technician on Cobra and Huey Helicopters. Afterwards, I attended Armstrong Atlantic University (Now Georgia Southern) where I received my Bachelors in Radiology with a specialty in Nuclear Medicine. While in college, I married my wife Kimberly after being friends for over 8 years. We moved to Charleston in 2011 and attended several churches in the area until we found Sonrise Christian Church in 2018. I currently perform PET/CT scans at the Charleston VA Medical Center and my wife Kimberly is a third-grade teacher. We have 2 wonderful boys and we have a huge collection of tabletop boardgames. I have spent several years as a Young Life leader, volunteering with different youth ages, and hosted and led many small groups. I have a passion for apologetics and learning and understanding biblical doctrine.
