The Rescuer (Luke 2:21-38)

Advent is about waiting for rescue. For centuries, God’s people lived in the darkness of longing—waiting for promises to be fulfilled, for justice to arrive, for light to break through. They were trapped in sin, suffering, exile, and silence—and they could not save themselves. Rescue had to come down to them. That’s what Advent announces: God did not wait for us to climb our way out; He came down to bring us home.
